Scott McLaughlin has reached the top ranks as one of the most successful racing drivers today. The Kiwi native began his career in 2002 as a 15-year-old rev-head with a high octane dream to become a racing driver. By 2006, McLaughlin had won the New Zealand Grand Prix and continued to win the New Zealand National Karting Championship in 2007.
In 2010, McLaughlin made his debut in the V8 Supercars series, driving for the Garry Rogers Motorsport team. By 2014, McLaughlin had started to make a name for himself, becoming the youngest driver to win a V8 Supercars Championship in 2014. After that, McLaughlin signed with the Volvo Polestar Racing team, where he won two more championships.
In 2017, McLaughlin joined Team Penske to compete in the Australian Supercars Championship. He would achieve 48 wins, 59 pole positions, and three series V8 Supercar championships over the next four seasons. However, his most significant victory came in 2019 when he won the Bathurst 1000 and set a new record for the most wins in a single season that year. In 2020, McLaughlin made his INDYCAR debut at the 2020 season finale in St. Petersburg.
